Question How Much Do You Charge (Hotshots)

How much do you charge when you have to towing? i know i was told that for towing live stock its $50 hook up fee, and bout $50 for the first 10 miles then $.50 a mile after. So what are you guys charging. I tow my stck trailer, dump,also I have a 20ft trailer that i tow my my loader on. What do you guys think?

most everything we get hot shotted in and out of our plant goes for 2 bucks a mile .....have seen up to 2.50 per mile


semi truck or pickup truck .regardless of miles

a guy just paid me 1028 bucks to tow a snowcat to lower Michigan and it cost me 920 in fuel alone

wow. I havent charged the $.50 . i just have been charging about $100 for about for 15 to 20 miles. I had 4 steers.

But, there is some cash to be made in being a Hotshot -- Kinda wish I could do something like that -- but not sure I'd like to be on call all the time which is required down here for the oil field

I promise you get out quick after about 1 year. There is NO money in Hotshot right now unless your doing short haul oilfield. We have two freight companies in our family and if it weren't for the existing contracts we would be loosing our butts. In hotshot you cant look at it as being on call because your always going to be rolling. If your not you wont make any money.

Yah, that is very true -- and the only really hotshotting I know is oilfield....

Insurance will kill any money you think you would make pretty damn quick and if your not commercially insured that could kill everything you own pretty damn quick.
