I got a question about the red as well. Seeing as i am not exactley a person with the age to remember or was i around diesel engines as kid, did off-road diesel used to have a higher amount of sulfur compared to the norma on road diesel?? Or was this a common misconception back in the day?

Off Road diesel or Red diesel is normally used on or aroung the farm for tractors or diesel powered generators... and other epuipment such as cat's track hoes forklifts things of this matter you do not want to run them in the newer vehicles due to all the restrictions it will clog the dpf up and will void your warrenty. as far as good to bad its considered bad because it has more sulfer in it than the regular green diesel and they add the red dye at the processing plants to make heads and tails between the two. though it may not burn as clean as low sulfer (more smoke) it contains more oil in it and will lube the engine up.. everytime we would get a new or slightly used diesel we (us and ppl we know) would run 2 tanks or so off the red and then green unless in a bind like being on E hopes this helps kingcopa and smokeeaterlb7
