I find myself in need of a rebuild kit for my 2001 Cummins, 2x4, quad cab, 5 speed. The Engine# is 56776496, CPL 2904. The engine has 226000 miles on it, so I am going to need bearings, seals, piston rings, all the assorted gaskets to reassemble. I don't have it apart yet, so I don't have measurements as to oversize rings/undersize bearings yet. I am assuming nothing major, the truck has mainly been used as a commuter vehicle, with occasional lite towing. Kind of took me by surprise, just did an oil change 1200 miles ago nothing unusual, pulled the dip stick today and all kinds of flakey metal on the dip stick. Appears to be from a bearing.... Truck has +50hp injectors and the Edge Comp module. The Edge comp has been on for approx 150K and the injectors less than 6 months. (had a stock injector go bad.) Thanks for your attention!
