Looks to me like it's just a bumper guard sittin in front of a stock bumper. If this is the case then the winch is more just for looks. It would be hard to bend steel bars thick enough to make something that small hold the weight needed for winch aplications. That may be why you don't see it, it may have just been an idea that didn't work so it was discontinued. Just theory on my part.

Full replacement tube bumpers work fine with wiches, but as I said, It looks to me like this is just a bumper guard mounted in front of the stock bumper.

It seems to be bolted into the stock tow hook mounts and underneth the bumper... If it is made right it should hold up fine. I don't go off roading with my truck at all And most likely wouldn't even put a winch on it. Thats is why we have the Z-71 and Stephs jeep. I just like the looks and I love how my truck looks with the sport package and would hate to take the painted bumper off for a aftermarket one.

I sent him a PM but don't see why you had to PM his name... This site is all about helping people get what they want/need... Not playing favorites or bring personal issues into it (don;t know if maybe someone here has something against him or not). We are all here to help... If someone you know can do the job better then someone else say it... tactfully... That is why this site has become what it is so fast, cause DM and the others let it run the way it should be and rule with a non-biased hand.

Thanks for the info!
Bobby

Usefull info is always welcomed here. If you have information that can help somebody here don't ever be afraid to share. Not much use to be here if we have to afraid to help each other. If you have a product we have the "basement enterprise" area to share that product with members and i doesn't cost you anything, just keeping in mind that it is intended for the guy in his garage building one thing and not for an actuall shop to hock all there wares.

So throw some info out here and let's see what you all got.
