Default Built 48RE

I'm trying to get an idea on how much a trans will cost. Hopefully my tax return will cover it! This is for the 2005 in my sig. The truck is mainly used as a daily driver (unloaded, in town traffic) but is also my tow rig and I would like to run it down the 1/4 on occasion. The most this truck will ever pull is my Land Cruiser on a trailer (total weight between 9k and 10k) and I would also like to be able to put a lightweight slide-in camper on the truck. As for mods, I want to add a programmer (Smarty or Edge J/A) and an intake. My goal is to have a firm shifting trans that will hold up to the power and the weight. I really don't want to worry about this thing anymore!

So, I'm looking for a price on a fully built trans that I will install myself and/or all the parts I need to rebuild the trans into what I need. This will all be going to 97132.

TIA!

Ask away! I'm new to this diesel stuff, so the questions you ask help me learn too.

Default BD Diesel Build-It Kits

Got a local transmission shop close by or some transmission know how? Take a look at our BD Built It kits, they may be an option to get you in under budget. BD developed theses kits mostly to save the shipping costs involved with shipping transmissions and cores.

BD offers 4 stages of kits, from stage 1 to stage 4.

Stage 1 is an OEM build. Stages 2 and 3 get more involved and 4 is equivalent to a BD Performance Exchange Transmission. Depending on what you are using the transmission for, we can even custom order a transmission just the way you want it. Click HERE FOR A BUILD SHEET

Pricing on BD Diesel Transmissions, Torque Converter and Build-It Kits can be found on our 2010 price sheets found HERE on page 10 -14.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions
