the AirDog sale continues

many factors can affect mileage. I drop a crap load with winter fuel and regain during the summer months. Get a fuel pressure reading on your current lift pump (we sell a billet fuel filter cap with a psi port to attach a sending unit to read fuel psi). Removing the air from the fuel corrects your injection timing and 2 micron filtration extends the lift of the CP3 and injectors.

now thats funny. so if you put on the airdog what warranty does that kill?

According to the service manager at the dealership, it can jeopardize the factory warranty. Their logic is based on the "what if" principle.. What if it causes other problems? You get the idea... Anybody with half a wit of common sense and a thorough understanding of the AirDog or similar systems, knows that it would only improve things, and lessen the chances of me having to go to them for warranty work for fuel delivery related problems. Not to mention the AirDog has a MUCH better filtration system than stock. It's also a whole lot easier to change the filter.
The comment I made about becoming my own warranty station doesn't just refer to the AirDog specifically though. Chris and I have been discussing a laundry list of mods, that will not only void the warranty, it would probably make the previously mentioned service manager poop his britches if I took him for a ride after said list is completed.
I'm still working on educating my service manager about beneficial mods. Chrysler as a whole has taken a warranty bath on the 6.7s over the last couple of years, and with their current financial situation, they're looking for the easy way out where warranty stuff is concerned. I'm hoping I can get them to understand that not all mods are bad news for them. Some of them will lessen their work load. Last year I had to wait almost two months just to get my truck in the shop for minor warranty stuff. One good thing I will say though... when I did finally get my truck in, they busted their butts to get it out the same day. I have yet to have to leave it overnight for anything I've had done.

i just wished dealers were more on the same page. the dealer i work for said it was ok for me to better my filtration both for the oil and the fuel. they know there are people out there that abuse the system but there are also people out there like Jim that want to improve and reduce the amount of time spent being without a truck.

Right you are. Even though they have been great about minimizing my downtime when I do have to put it in the shop, I don't like having to jump through hoops and go with out sleep to get it in there. Working the hours I do makes for a longggg day with very little sleep when it has to go in for work.
I wish they would understand that people like me, aren't the type to spray 400hp worth of nitrous and then expect them to replace a grenaded intercooler or head gasket under warranty. If they would loosen up a bit, they would find they would see a lot less of me in the shop for warranty issues.
