Um...I guess you could. I don't know why you'd want to. The Hood Stack Kit is for compitition use only. I would suggest if you're gonna use it on a stock truck/daily driver, you check with your local law boys to make sure you're not gonna be breakin' any laws with it.

 

Well here is a quick update. Got a quote back for the hood rings...these will most likely be made up of 304 S.S. Not sure if we will have them polished or not yet. We also received a quote for a gasket to go between the Hood Ring, and the hood, now we are not sure if this will be needed or not yet, when we get the next working sample in our hands, we will test it, and see if it helps or hinders this set up. We hope to still have everything ready for a release this month..I'll keep this thread posted more now since we are getting closer to a completion date.

By the way..the proto type hood stack that was seen in Diesel World Magazine, the truck it was on took second place in the points series it ran in for 2009! I wanna say congrats to Bill, Matt, and Adam for getting that truck where they did!

So far we have the revised proto type back. LOOKS GOOD! I should have the local guy here with the original proto type seen in Diesel World Magazine stop by today or tomorrow to get it. Once he applies it to the truck and confirms the fit and lets us know of any changes that need to be made...shouldn't be to much longer. I'll post some pictures up as soon as they let me.

I would love to run a hood stack! but suburban ohio cops with nothing better to do than ticket people for having 1 of their 2 license plate lights out would limit me.

That and constant complaining from the GF about having a big hunk of chrome in front of her as were driving

 

LOL this is true man..which is why they are for competition use only. They are in NO-WAY designed to be used on a daily driver...not that we could stop ya from doing it.

As for the girlfriend...what does she know..she's a girl...LOL

 

true true.. she loves the truck and the sound, but i'm sure would kill me in my sleep if I stuck a stack out the hood hahaha
