Default Trans flush

I work at the dealership, an have access to a flush machine so i was gonna fluch my trans in my 02. But a guy here at work was saying it wasnt a good idea to flush it with the mileage on it (202k) an not knowing previous service history. SHould i go ahead an flush it or no?

I don't see why you would shouldn't flush it just because it has 200k miles...

if you've had troubles before i'd just change the fluid, i have seen this quite a few times, if you do flush it, don't go cheap on the fluid and put some LUCAS trans additive in it, and it should be just fine, worse come to worse a rebuild kit is 600 bucks, or go all out and put a BTS or John Woods in it

It doesnt slip, it just shifts harder then it should. AN i have 18 quarts of the valvoline maxlife for trans over 75000. dex/merc recommended for most gm, ford, toyota an honda(according to the bottle)?

If you flush it, you can knock all the varnish that has built up in it lose and clog up your transmission, burning up all your clutches. I've seen this on 3 transmissions with over 100K on them. I would just change fluid and filter if it were me.

Flush it... Old wifes tail is all that is. Best thing you can do is change the fluid out of it, Flushing it is nothing more then a 100% fluid change.

Gezz...

ok...

explain to me what the difference is between "flushing" the tranny with a machine that you install on the supply and return lines going to the cooler and draining the pan...

Whats the difference other then you get 100% of the fluid changed...

Come on man...
