Turbo back stacks would mean no muffler. And the ts is fine these trans can take alot of power. However if you hot rod it all the time then no matter what you drive it will go out. You can get the ts chips custom tunes by many people that make them better and they will tune your transmission as well. Also before a chip, you might want to look into the 6637 intake, and you NEED gauges

Ok thanx. Where could I get gauges? and i was thinkin bout just startin off with a programmer cause it reads error codes and has a convenient display. What programmer is best for the 7.3?

Not sure on that one. It depends what you get. I want to say superchips is a nice one. Dont get edge cause it is known to ruin transmissions on these trucks. Imo still go with a custom tuned chip, it is made for your truck specifically. Nothing will be safer on the trans but that and whatever your right foot wants. Gauges can be had at about any online diesel store. I recommend auto meters or isspro. If you go autometer, auto zone can order them for you

Yep no problem. If you go with a custom chip look around before you make your choice and do some reseacrh see what you like best

I looked at tha super chips they seem nice but a lil simple but idk i dont know much bout programmers I also looked at bully dogs new one and it looked super nice idk just gotta look round but I am really likin that TS performance 6 pos chip might get that. Could I stack it with a programmer? I mainly am lookin at programmers cause they have a display so I know whats goin on and they read engine codes.

I been running an superchips 1705 for about 2 yrs now and am pretty happy with it....I leave it on tow/performance. Wakes it up good....increase fuel mileage.....no problems so far. I do knock it down and reload it about every couple of months.....learns bad shifting habits from the wife.....set it back to stock....then reload.....and it's good to go.....it was less than $300
Post a thread in the quote section for the gauges you need, you'll get a sweet deal !
