Default Dually Mpgs and Mods

Curious to some of the mods that are being used to obtain
good Mpgs on the 7.3l crew cab long bed duallys.

I seem to only acheive 15mpg at best and around 10mpg or 11mpg when towing 5500 pounds. With the mods i have. Working on getting an exhaust system as i post this.

ditch the hypertech, get something a little better like a TS Performance 6 position chip or something a little more made for the PSD, exhaust will help too, but remember you are pushing a big heavy pickup with a big engine and nowhere does it say which transmission you have, cause auto vs manual makes a big difference and gear ratio also plays a big role

4in down pipe to whatever you want, and intake make big difference. A custom tuned 6 position chip is your best bet. Make sure you watch your egts if you get a high hp setting. If so get a pyro gauge.

A good chip with an econo tune and an exhaust intake set up will do worlds...

I dont see gauges mentioned... a pyro is a must have...

Talk to Bill and Corey at Power Hungry Performance, they can get you set up with a chip!!!

I have an automatic trans 4r100 i would think. And no gauges just looking for moderate Mpgs and nothing really wild with hp. 4.10's in the rear . Already have the tymar setup.

Does not matter... Stock should have at least a pyro...

Get a pyro, 4" turbo back and a chip... If your not looking to add anymore gauges then just get a 40hp-60hp and 80hp set up.

The 80hp from PHP will put down more total HP then the hypermax on 120 with better MPG and less smoke.
