2002 F250 powerstroke problems

Thanks for the advise. I let the truck get to operating tempature and the truck shut off. I let it sit for 10 minutes and the truck started. The truck shut off again after the truck was back to temp. The truck turned over, the fuel pump activated, but the tach didn't work. The CPS is brand new. If I let the truck set it starts. Seem like a relay, but not sure.

Well figured it out. The high pressure oil pump went. Had it replaced and all is good. Thanks for you advise!

I replaced cps sensor witha new ford grey unit. This didn't correct the problem. I took the truck to the local diesel shop and turned out that the high pressure oil pump went. It was changed and all is good now. Thanks for the help!!

The common answer was the cps without looking at the truck. Once that was changed and the problem persisted they started looking. Glad it's back too. Thanks!!
