Default codes from 7.3

How do you read codes from a 1995 ford f350 with 7.3?

Have one that has 260,000 miles, ran good till started having problems. Now to get it to start have to use starting fluid. Takes for ever to get oil pressure (low) up then it will start runs rough for bit then levels out and runs good.

My son bought this and I know nothing about it. Have always heard 7.3 was easy to work on. But do not know where to start, without knowing codes.

Thanks

alton

You need to have a scan tool or take it somewhere to get the codes read.

finally found the plug someone hid it under dash on passenger side.

No codes. when running fuel only holds around 600 at 1100 rpm.

Don't know what else I should monitor in this.

There is very little to none on injector control pressure.

Any suggestions.

He said he has changed icp, and cam position sensor.

Idle looks a little low at idle. When its cold unplug the ICP sensor and see what it does. But never ever use starting fluid on it
