Okay my son and I just checked and there is NO oil coming into the oil filter housing. So is there anyone out there that offers an after market LPOP? The part from Ford is expensive and I was hoping someone else might offer it. Also are there any instructions on how to remove and replace the LPOP out there I haven't found any yet. Any help is appreciated Thanks ahead of time.

There are several lpop for the 6.0, make sure you get one for your year because something changed in them around 05. Iv'e seen them for around $85 for the pump gears, it will cost more if the housing is damaged.
As far as removal goes, remove the fan and schroud, remove the serpintine belt/just loosen it up. next you will have to remove the balancer from the crank, you might have to use a puller , normally you can either rent one or some places will loan it to you if you purchase the parts there. Once the balancer is off the oil pump is right there, a couple bolts hold the cover on then the outer gear should be able to be pulled out, might have to use a pick or something to get it out. Next comes the inner gear, there is a wear ring on the crank that won't allow it to slip right off, to remove the wear ring it is best to use a small hacksaw blade and cut partially through the wear ring then you can POP it with a small chisel then remove it, it can be pried off but you take a chance at damaging the aluminum housing by doing it that way. replace the gears then install the wear ring and put it all back together.

Use the ford part to international numbers sheet saved me some money https://www.dieselbombers.com/ford-p...reference.html .Got the front cover , seal, and gears for 80$ from a International Dealer. Also some international dealers will freak out and not sell you the part if you tell them its for a ford. But when you walk them out to your truck and show them the international sticker on your motor it only makes them more angry. Just warning ya

Yes, that was driven by Ford for some reason and happened BEFORE the fallout between the two companies as well. They wouldn't even sell fuel filters if you told them you drove the Ford. Something on their screen will pop up telling them it wont fit the Ford. Weird.

Did you get the new LPOP in yet?

You're dealing with tight tolerances the wear wont be that noticable for the height of the gear in the housing you should be at
0.025mm - 0.095mm and when you put the gears back in the housing in between the outer gear and the housing you should be at .17mm - 0.295mm.

OK, normally if the low-pressure pump is bad then they are torn up, something gets in there and there is obviouse damage...There is however a relief valve or regulator on the low pressure pump too that can fail, it is located on the main housing, you will see what looks like a passage or tube built into the housing aiming right toward the oil pump, I believe you just ue a socket or wrench to pull the endcap off of it, haven't done it myself but I know its there. If the regulator sticks open it will act just like a bad oil pump because it will bypass the oil right backto the inlet side of the pump instead of allowing it to go up to the oil cooler and build pressure..

Okay. I pulled the relief valve or regulator and it looks fine. It actually shot out of the hole like a rocket was that suppose to happen? The only thing left I know of would be to check the oil pick up tube any other suggestions or do you all agree that I should pull the pan?
