Default correct way to use REV-X

So i was on youtube looking at some videos on rev-x, and came across a video from powerstrokehelp.com. It was titled correct way to install rev-x and his method was removing the stand pipe and pouring the two bottles down the hole. The guy seems to know what he is talking about when it comes to the 6.0 based on his other videos. Then there were some other videos of guys just pouring it down the tube. Either way the oil and the rev-x are gonna mix together. So my question is, is there really a correct way to install the rev-x. Either way isnt very complicated, just wanted some of your guys input. Thanks

the most important thing to do is add it to a fresh oil change to get the most life out of it, if you are into the motor far enough to add it to the standpipes you should have just changed out the injectors because remember, REVX is a bandaid and not a fix to problem injectors.

Ive been reading alot of the threads about it as far as it fixing a sticking injector using it. On my next oil change i want to try a different additive and have read good things about rev-x. Im not having any problems with my injectors or anything yet. So im still good to use it right? It doesnt have to be used as a "bandaid" does it?

it should be a good preventive tool, it works great when you have a problem with sticky injectors but you have to add a bottle with every oil change or the stiction will come back, that is why it is a band aid, it doesn't cure the problem it smooths it out as long as it is in the oil

I would still use it. It seems to help trucks out that don't even have "issues." Bill @ PHP did some before and after dyno runs using rev-x and actually showed some gains on the dyno. Rev-X certainly wont hinder anything, I use it all the time now.

The guy from powerstrokehelp also recommend changing your HPOP oil too....

I use AR9100 as a prevention for stiction, it's cheaper than Rev-X. There is a long thread over on TDG about results using this stuff.

Yeah I've been meaning to try some of the AR9100 this time too....

I use a different fuel additive. Opti-lube XPD.

lilpooh, what size bottles do you usually get and how much do you typically add to a 6.0 fill up?

I order the 16oz bottle of AR9100 oil treatment each time. I should just stop being so cheap and order the gallon, I'll just save money in the long run.

The AR6200 fuel treatment, I buy the 16oz. The first 3 fill ups is 1oz each fill up, then after that you only use 1/2oz per fill up. I also add 30oz of 2cyl per fill up of my 38gal tank.
