I'd go with a sct tuner before I went with an edge. Sct with custom tunes is by far the best for the 6.0.

Make sure they didnt put TTY bolts back in the heads, and that they actually installed studs. Then make sure there is an EGR delete. If you are goong to be towing a lot, i would recommend ordering tunes from Matt Robinson at gearhead performance. Ive towed with his tow file, and i love it. Also, call up power hungry performance, and have them send you a FICM tune. You will want to tow with the Atlas40, nice addition to custom files. CTS from edge is a nice monitoring system. While im at it, pull that edge programmer right now. Edge is notorious for burning trannys to the pavement.

Mileage?... Oof, buy a bicycle i guess.

The Atlas 40 refers to FICM tuning. There is much debate about whether 'roll back' to an earlier strategy is better, or just tuning the FICM you've got with what looks like an Edge monitor.

Take that Edge out yesterday! I burned up a 95K mile transmission and the 2 other guys I know with 6.0s that use Edge have had negative results as well. Check my "Status" above for how I feel about Edge.

A 4" turbo back (will most likely come with a 3.5" down tube), EGR cooler delete (as noted above) and an oil cooler replacement (if the EOT/ECT split is above 15* at highway cruise) along with the tuning will give you a pretty bad *** truck. The 03/04 models don't require additional tuning when the EGR cooler is deleted as the 05+ trucks do.

Oh yeah, don't forget a coolant bypass filter, I got mine from MKM/Sinister.

Plus one on the coolant bypass, at least a filter. I have to install mine, just been lazy about it.

No EDGE!

YES SCT!

If a Ford dealer did the studs, it will probably need to be done again at some point. They never deck the heads.

Definitely check the oil cooler status by reading the difference in temp between the oil and coolant.

A coolant filter is a must.

EGR delete would be nice too.

Correct, that's a very popular setup for most guys. Just gets a little pricey having to buy both, but it is a NICE setup.

I should have been more clear, NO EDGE for tuning purposes.

+1 on CTS monitoring! They run about $800?
