Sct devices which one
Sct programmers. Which one?
So I am looking to purchase a sct device next.
Which one would you recommend ?
Sct Sf3
Sct X3/ 3015
Or innovative diesel's 3015 version which comes with preloaded custom tunes? Are they canned tunes or are the tunes custom written to my peramiters ? As well can they be uploaded onto my computer if I choose to use another writers programs for future use?
Seems like if I was going custom tunes anyway the sf3 would get me more bang for the money after adding the custome tunes to it?

The innovative tuner is an SF3 with an innovative sticker on it, they will custom write three tunes for YOUR truck. They'll typically ship you the programmer first, you get your strategy off of the truck, send them the strategy and they email you your tunes. So your tunes are able to be saved to the computer yes, since they come in through email. If they just load them before hand (if you already know your strategy) I'm sure they'll email you a copy. I've never tried saving a file from the SCT to the computer, but you might be able to. Shouldn't matter either way.
X3 holds 3 custom tunes
SF3 holds 3 custom and 3 canned.
Canned are useless anyways so it really shouldn't matter what you get.
You can save as many tunes as you want on your computer, but the tuner will only hold 3, any 3 you want. I have dozens of tunes on my computer and switch them all around.
Matt @ Gearhead and Eric @ Innovative are both great tuners.

Thank you! That was just what I was looking for!
Trying to justify the additional cost of the Id sf3.
Roughly 80.00 a custom tune =240. 00
Roughly the extra cost of the sf3 over the x3
But I would feel better knowing I'm at least getting 3 custom tunes with it rather than all canned tunes.
My php Ficm programmer with strategy roll back should be here in days. So I will be able to order an sct after that along with a few extra goodies to fill the shipping box
What is the divorce rate for 6.0 owners as I'm sure the wifey is going to start hatin my new found love!

They charge $65 per tune, or they're free with any programmer you purchase. Only the extreme tunes are an $80 upgrade. You pay $80 no matter what for an extreme tune basically.
They do a bundle, three tunes for $165 too.
I shopped around a bit, if you're buying new, just get it from them. If you want to try and find a used Xcal2 or Xcal3, and can get one for $150-$250, it might be worth it, then just buy a tune at a time as you want/need them. $165 for three tunes plus $200 is only $365...
My gf told me I have to keep my 6.0! haha, didn't want me jumping into more payments again with a 6.4. It was a smart choice, I think.
