Default Truck sits alot

i average about 300 miles a month on my new truck (if that) i have another truck and a company car.... so the new truck sits in the garage most of the time (washed and waxed). my question is, do you think starting it and letting it idle to operating temp once a week is enough? i am rediculus on maintence! i just changed the oil and fuel filter on it (700 miles since last change) i did it because i didnt know if the dealer i bought it from used the good filters or not, so i changed them. but normally oil at 3000k miles and fuel filters at 6000 miles. do you guys recommend changing them more often since it sits so much? thanks fellas, just trying to learn the in's and out's of the stroker!

6.0's are known for sticking vanes in the turbo when they sit for too long. Every 6.0 buff says 6.0's dont like to idle, so no that would not be enough. As a matter of fact that will worsen the carbon build up which causes the turbo vanes to stick. The best way to prevent this is to get it on the high way once a week and put the skinny pedal to the floor to blow out the carbon built up. "Drive it like its a rental car" was his exact words.

I agree.

Instead of idling it, take it out and drive the snot out of it.

The only thing you really risk with it sitting like this is rust build up on the vanes of the turbo. Go give it the italian tune up every couple weeks, it should be fine. If you must idle it, high idle it.

6.0's love to be worked.
