Hey guys, so check this out ive been looking at that this obd2 module thats supposed to tell your real time fuel mileage boost oil presure..... ive always been told if its too good to be true it is yada yada yada. imjust courious if any of you guys have actualy used it. i mean it seems bad *** if you could get that chip and watch your guages right on your phone right? i just dont wantto waste the 30 bucks if its a pile of crap. if you have used it or do use it what brand module should i go with?

Could you maybe post a link to what you're talking about?
There are a few ways to do OBD2 monitoring, if you want to use your smart phone download the torque app, it's about $5. Then all you need is a blue tooth OBD2 connector that will sync up with your phone. Don't get a cheap one, because they suck. The decent one's are about $100 or so. Still cheaper than buying most gauges.
I doubt any of them will tell you your mileage though, the OBD port doesn't have that kind of information. You can watch boost though, and oil temp etc etc, anything that the PCM can see.

I think he's referring to a ScanGauge II. Most of their instruction manual is how to set up for mpg. I blew right past that and went to gauge monitoring. I'd rather not have my **** poor MPG blarring at me like a strobe light! Besides, what fun would it be to fill up if I couldn't OCD with my claculator?
MPG isn't rocket science, especially if you're plugged into the fuel system and speedometer.
