my fathers boss had me take his 06 in for maintainance at Ford, come to find out it had been 16,000 miles since his last oil change and almost 30,000 for filters. i almost punched his boss in the face

 

If you take my for into a dealer, they will say the truck hasnt been in for a service since 44000 miles, and it has almost 70k on the clock right now. Doesnt mean i have done the service on it. This is also why i keep the receipts.

Exactly right 06-sixoh, Keep your records for verification. no different than a shop pulling an Oasis. It might not show anything came up. But, dang sure doesn't prove nobodies been under the hood!

 

His boss said it has only been to Ford and he wasn't surprised it had been that long

 

I think Doug from GoGo posted on facebook once how he let his dad run his 6.0 for a hair over 50k miles before touching the fuel filters, just to see how bad they would be. They were pretty black, but they still did their job. Not something he would recommend doing, but it has been done.

I can tell a big difference when I do a filter change in the way the truck starts/idles/runs even with only 10k miles on fuel filters.

Before I can even feel it, I can tell by watching the pyro as they're clogging. My pyro doesn't bury as fast or as far as it does on a fresh set of fuel filters too
