Front locking Diff
I am building my '06 F250 FX4 into an expo kind of rig and am looking for some advice on the front Dana 60. I have the 3.73 LSD in the 10.5 Sterling out back.
Anyone have any advice in regards to a E-locker, air-locker,etc?
Gearing?
Ultimately, selectable would be desirable, but since this is not going to be a rock crawler perhaps just add a LSD to the front too?
Appreciate any experiences shared.

I seem to be the ONLY person on the planet who says this but, I have a True Trac and it's a piece of CRAP! Sure it leaves 2 stripes when I hammer it, even flings the rear end around when I have the wheel cranked to the left, but turn right and hammer down it's a ONE TIRE FIRE! Detriot Locker or nothing from now on! I have a Detroit Locker in an '87 SWB GMC on 38s, good street manners. But then again, I like the mini-spool in my '67 Mustang on the street, too.
But I digress. A Detroit Locker out back and a selectable locker up front is ideal for hard wheeling. Most of my wheelin buddies say that an LSD or a locker up front won't take much throttle to lock up, and usually does it when you want to turn, thus pushing you straight forward. However, if you're not doing some nutty wheeling, or pulling crap up muddy hills, the open front is fine.
Like everyone else said, gears depend greatly on what you are doing. I have read about guys that love 4.30s and 35s, others think 3.73s and 35s are fine, personally, I've been kicking around doing 4.11s with my 35s. What tires are you going to use? Where is the truck going to get the most use? These need to be answered before I can whip out my handy dandy spread sheet and tell you what gear/tire combos do what. (Yes, I made an Excel spread sheet that will do that and it's pretty accurate).
Keep us posted.
