injector info?
i drive a 350 dually cold air straight pipe exhaust, egr delete, coolant filter, fuel psi and pyro guage with 130,000 on the odo. for a while now when i start it up it runs rough with diesel smelling white smoke and runs rough untill it warms up, with no loss of power. so i did a fresh oil change 10-30 motorcraft powerstroke oil. now it first starts a little rougher untill warm and on long pulls the wrench lite comes on, but no loss of power. took it to the shop today and they want 4 grand for 8 new injectors and a new ficm. they found these codes p012f, p0403, p0405, p0528, p0611, p0261, and p0267. im am a mechanic and kinda know my way around this engine. but i feel safer asking this comunity for second opinions first any help would be really helpful

If u do the injectors urself it ain't that bad. I've done 3 to mine. Kind of a pain but you could do all on the passenger side around 3 hrs and all on driver in about 4. That's if you do all of them. I did two on passenger side in 2 1/2 and one on driver in 3 with smoke breaks. I bought straight at dealer and they were just under 300 each with a 200 core. So save urself and do them urself for 2400. For a ficm talk to mdub. He rebuilds them and will hook you up with a good deal. I almost had to get a new one and was gonna go with him. He rebuilds them. Good honest guy, really knowledgeable. Hope all goes well for ya bro.

Test your FICM, if all those codes came up at same time then your injectors are probably good, they can't do an accurate test on the injectors if the ficm is bad, they are trying to rob you blind. The FICM powers the injectors and if it's not up to snuff then the injectors won't work right , with 2 people you cantest the ficm in under 15 minutes.

Resoldering FICM's helps some, but the internal electronics are marginal for the heat and vibration. Upgrading the key electronic components is highly recommended (capacitors, etc).
Many people offer the 58V mod, but it adds even more heat to the circuits and will reduce the longevity. For the marginal improvement (if any), the 58V mod is not the way to go IMO.
In addition to the injector and FICM code, you have an electrical issue that is most likely tied to the v-ref circuit. IMO the P0528 code is likely to be the central issue (not the EGR or MAP voltage codes). Check the wiring to the connectors, but if no damage is found, when the P0528 code is shown (with no visible wire damage) the electric clutch has failed. As stated, this could also be causing the MAP and EGR codes, but check their wiring harnesses also.
