6.0 a/c pump

Default 6.0 a/c pump

my a/c pump went out on the 03 6.0, and im about to replace it, but i was wondering how much refridgerant to add, and from the looks of things, i have to pull the fan and fan shroud off?

No, you don't have to pull fan and schroud off, you have to get it all from undeneath, the one bolt that holds the lines to pump can be gotten from the fenderwell area. There are 3 bolts that hold pump on, 2 are 10mm and one os 13or14mm, 2-10mm are toward the front-top and bottom, and the back one is near top and is the larger size. It will help to undo the block ground and the strap that is on same bolt so you can get a wrench in there easier. I have no clue about refrigrant.

then how will i pull it out? there is only like 1.5 inches from the front of the pully to fan schroud, the one im talking about is behind the fan,

Trying to remember, I pulled off the pass sie cooler tube and pulled pump out right by the battery and installed a replacement the same way, I didhave to snap a small piece of the stator schroud off to be able to get it out, I was on the road when the ac cluch froze up and locked the belt up.
