Default Someone check out this link for a tuner and give advice please

here is the link Innovative Diesel Extreme Street Tune

My questions are: Has anyone ever heard of this type of tuner? If so, thoughts and opinions. Also, if its not a bad one for these motors and trans, is this just a quick plug and only setting you get out of it or is it like a software that you have to update on a tuner you already have?

Can you answer the other questions I have posted please? Cause I know alot of people prefer SCT, but I don't have that kind of money. Especially if this is worth it and only 96 bucks

That price is JUST for the tune iteself, not for the tuner.

You need an SCT device in order to hold your tunes and to transfer tunes to your truck, if that makes sense. What alligator has posted there is a marked up price of just a tune. Innovative will sell you that tune direct for $80. They do a package deal of $165 for three tunes as well. I can't believe they're marking up a tune.

You can buy a new SCT X-cal 3 directly from Innovative and they will toss in three free tunes, but if you upgrade to an extreme tune it's an extra $80. So figure for $500 you can get a new SCT from Innovative with an x-street tune and two other tunes of your choice. Or, you can try and find a used SCT device and buy the tunes individually. The SCT device will need to have a few things done before you can purchase it. The vehicle it's coming from needs to be put back to stock, so the device is "unmarried" since they VIN lock. It will also need to have "unlocks" left. Each new device comes with 5 unlocks. Every time you VIN lock to a vehicle and move to another vehicle, you lose a lock. So if I sold you my SCT, it would come with 4 unlocks left, since I used it on my truck. If it's out of unlocks it's like $150 to get it reset. So just know that when looking for a used one.

My advice... call up Innovative and tell them what you want, they will walk you through it. Tunes are always emailed back to me within 24 hours from those guys.

No problem, any more questions just ask. I know it's hard to grasp how it works without having one in hand.

Just a wee bit. . Explained it out well though. I've been hearing about the unlocks and stuff and could never figure out what it was till you wrote all that.
