post a picture. look and see how many blocks you have in the back or if you have any drop brackets in the front. how big is the lift?

Take it to any local shop around your house.. It wil literally take them 2 seconds to tell you suspension or body of you can't tell the difference.. As far as type and brand you will need to go to somewhere that installs lifts professionally and they should be able to tell immediately because all company's have there own little way of leaving a trade mark per-say... And it's probably a good idea to have them look over everything as far as the linkage and steering box since you don't know the history on it..

I would also have them take a look at your pitman arm if you have factory steering setup and large tires. Mine came loose and snapped while i was backing up.

Suspension lift! The last time I saw thick springs like that was the 8" lift on my buddy's truck. There is a track bar drop bracket, which is good, and given that much lift, I would be surprised if it didn't have a dropped pitman arm (you can only lift so much before the stock pitman just won't cut it). Post me up a pic of the pitman arm and I can tell you if its dropped or not.

If you know someone with a stock height or known lift height Souper Doody, measure from the leaf spring pad to the frame on both. Leaf spring pad NOT the top of the leafs, those thick leafs have a few inches just in the stack.

Sell the lift and big tires for an OEM suspension and some 285/75-16s if that is what you are after. These are 3/4 and 1 ton trucks that can haul/tow just about anything at the sacrifice of ride quality. I have 6 inch Pro-Comp springs out back, 5" Pro-Comps springs in the front. Damn right its stiff, but it's not spongy when I'm playing off road either.

You're going to have to make your choice, lifts that ride "smooth" are BIG BUCKS!
