I have an edge insight cts. It worked perfectly when I first plugged it in. Ran the wire behind the dash and keeps popping up to select vehicle. Was shipped back out to edge they claim there was a ford install file missing. Shipped it back said it was fixed. Plugged it in worked then didn't. I figured the cord had a short in it but they said it was tested and passed. After numerous back and forth calls today when I called they checked the files that were sent to them when I plugged it in for update check. Said my sct changed my the last 3 numbers in my vin to sct and that was the problem. Has anyone else experienced this?
Also batteries were tested both are in great condition.

I've never heard of that... I know a few people personally that run an SCT for power and the Edge CTS for gauges too... you might be better off calling up SCT and see what they have to say about that. The only programmers I've heard of changing anything were some early bullydog units.
