These 6.0s are such a pain...

When I opened the box and realized I had EVERY ford part in a box delievered to my door that I needed, and a beautiful egr cooler I was sold. You get what you pay for, rather then just paying for a fancy name.
And the T6 was my thought as well. The edge is coming from a truck totaled out for hail damage, and basicly want it so that the driver sees if hes gonna hurt it because he has no clue in hell about diesels. Just want a very little tune to go with the down pipe and intake. Eventually the intake elbow and intercooler pipe will be replaced. I will have to custom fab the hot side pipe due to the hydro pump. Truck moves as it is, has air lift in the back, thing tows f350s no problem. Great truck, just gotta make it start all the time haha.

Why do you want to replace the intercooler or the tubing? Most guys who go with the larger tubing will note that spool up is slower, so in stop and go it may be more of a hassle to drive. The stock intercoolers are pretty good in these, so I'd figure out what your temps are at and go from there, you may not need one.
I wouldn't use the Edge for tuning purposes at all, it does nothing for the transmission. Gauges, go for it, but not tuning. Not even a small tune. It's just going to end up adding more heat anyways. If anything, look into an SCT with a custom tow tune, it will also allow you to use your VGT turbo a little more for braking and work like an exhaust brake.

Well I dont really want to go bigger, just the stock hot side pipe has been smashed to clear the hydro pump rather then re made. And I want to get a new intake elbow and metal cold side pipe to replace the crappy stock plastic one. Just trying to drop the EGT's since the truck does idle alot. I figured the bigger down pipe, and heat wrapping it would help drop underhood slightly and mabe egt's. I opened up the inside of the stock elbow a little, just smoothed out all the sharp edges. I heard the new elbow and charge pipe does drop egt alot, is this even true? Any suggestions? I know these motors run the hotest egts out of the diesels, so that with a 19 year old driving the truck, I get a little worried hes gonna pop it. And ok, edge for gauges only. Works for me, easier then putting in a pillar pods.
So now the truck is back to no start hot, so Testing the computer in 10 minutes and will see what happens.

Each battery reads 100% cranking amps, FICM tested 48 at rest key on, 49 on when first turned on, and 48.5 cranking. This thing has me stumped..

No start hot is definitely a high pressure oil leak.
Where did you hear these are the hottest running trucks stock? I'd say that award goes to the 6.7 cummins, since some guys were seeing EGT's approaching 1400* if memory serves. These trucks run just fine and EGT's are never out of control from what I've seen, no matter who is driving (stock tune, stock injectors I'm talking).
I would try and do an air test on the HPO system to check for leaks, might just be an o-ring got crushed or something simple.
