break light problems

Question break light problems

I have an 04 and I cant find the problem with them they will not come on and I have check the fuse and put a new switch on the break pedal .I have look over everything and cant find the problem if u have any ideas can u let me no

Do the turn signals work? you did check the bulbs didn't you?

did you check the blinker and hazards to see if they work i dont know about these trucks but some times relays and other fuses are tied into other fuses kind of like how the obd port and the cigg lighter are tied together id check all fuses and relays just to completely rule that out. there is a way to check the relay by putting a wire on one of the terminals and the other end to the battery i forget how to exactly do it i havent done it in a while but im sure there are videos and stuff on youtube on how to do it

first off get a meter and check for voltage at the switch on the brake pedal... if you have voltage on one side and then you press the pedal down and get voltage at the other side you know the switch is good... so from there the wire will go all the way to the brake light so if you don't have voltage at the lights then you have a open wire somewhere...
