6.0 glow plug harness leak fix. Removal and installation with photos.
It only took a few minutes to remove the harness and install the new one. I took some thin wire and wrapped it around the harness boot. Then took a small pry bar and used it for leverage to pull out each boot. The harness came out in one piece. I probably could have got new o rings and re used it but I already had the new one ($62 from the dealer). I did use some wheel bearing grease on the o rings of the new harness. No more leaks!
I was getting a smell of burned oil every once in a while. There were no drips or signs of an oil leak. I replaced the turbo drain tube and checked everywhere. Of course the last place I looked was the glow plug harness on the passenger side. All good now..
