Default transmission troubles.

truck is performance up a bit.

Transmission can't decide what gear to stay in. Jumping gears etc. It can't hold 100kms without dropping a gear. When Im cruising around town, sometimes it jumps From 3 tp 2 then back to 3rd.

Would this just be a bad torque converter? Or a whole new transmission in order?

How long has it been since upgraded, every time you disconnect the batteries the trans has to go through a learning process, drive "normal" for a couple days before you get on it

Just reading your signature it's not hard to see why.

You have an Edge juice, which does nothing for the trans. Then you have larger injectors, which are bumping power up, and no way to control them through tuning, and doing all of this on 37's.

Your trans is probably hating life right now. At this point it may be too late, but for the future if you want your trans to last and want to be able to take control of those injectors, get an SCT with some custom tuning bud.

Tough call on the trans though. I'd put the programming back to stock for now, although it's still going to be rough with the injectors in (what size injectors are these anyways? Stage 2 doesn't really tell me anything).

Who's TC is it? How old is it and how long has the truck been set up this way? Your valvebody and TC probably only helped minimally. The real key to making 5R110's last is tuning.

Awesome! Eric is one of the best when it comes to keeping trans' safe. You'll be amazed. Might want to look into the GoGo direct solenoid now too since you're starting with a fresh plate.

I got to buy a trans thanks to Edge also. Before I swapped it, it took about 4 cycles from 1st to 6th to learn, this new trans learned right away! San Tan also did some shift reprogramming and it is mucho sweeter than the stocker EVER was.

Oh yeah, those trans settings on the Edge do I LIKE TURTLES! You can DEFINITELY tell that you have done something to the trans when you adjust the SCT settings.
