I'm looking at upgrading my sound system, and saw this little device could connect to the head unit. I was wondering if anyone is using one, and also would I be able to read aftermarket sensors thru the OBDii port? i.e. egt and fuel pressure.

I already have the sct livewire, but if I can get all the gauges on the head unit, it would be a much cleaner look. I just don't know how aftermarket sensors work.

On a second note, I saw a post once about setting up the warnings on the livewire, but I can't find it for the life of me. Is there any way to get a list of parameters for the important gauges? I don't even know what half of the acronyms are on that thing.

You talking about hooking up an amp to the factory radio? It's called an RCA converter...

I don't think you can read fuel pressure from the sct...

Your number one gauge should be fuel pressure, then eot ( engine oil temp), ect ( engine coolant temp), egt ( exhaust gas temp), and TFT if towing heavy( trans fluid temp)

this reads gauges and can send it to my new head unit. I'm curious if aftermarket sensors can be read by the obdii also?

Does it only monitor on the nuvi system or any bluetooth compatible device? And from looking at it it only monitors those sensors if you have the apps on your phone. as far as aftermarket being read on the obd, im pretty sure they cant be read there unless you wire it straight in another wire on it. Then it wouldnt be named whatever sensor your sensing just the one you tapped or replaced, but im just guessing at this point on if you even could do it.

it can broadcast to a few nuvi garmin devices, and my in dash nav system, (kenwood uses garmin) I think it might go to android phones too.

So aftermarket sensors don't go into the obdii.
