p0404 is an egr code. p0603 is a kam code. p1000 is a obd system readiness code. the stickies at the top of the page have a 6.0 bible you can look at to see all the codes. i would take the egr out and clean it. see if that helps then check all the connections to the turbo. good luck

OK thanks I seen the codes. I just didn't know where to start I read about the egr problems in other treads but none seem to be having the symptoms I'm having but I'm gonna clean the egr and see if it fixes it I'll keep you posted

Definately sounds like a ERG valve is crudded up, it is located right next to the intake elbo and is held down by 2 8mm bolts, they take a little prying to get loose but be kinda gentle with it, don't want to bend it up.

Pull the EGR valve out and clean it. You might want to yank the turbo and recondition that as well (clean it).

After reading this post and thinking about it. If im at a dead stop and mash it, my truck will hesitate for a second, roll coal and then my tires break loose and it goes like a bat out of hell. But when i just mash it it takes a second or two and alot of smoke before my truck GOES. I have an EGR delete already so what could this be?

Probably needs a turbo cleaning. Your EGR code is from the delete. Do you get a CEL from that? SCT is the only thing to turn the light off, the banks wont do it.
