no way in hell that gets 16mpg around town on 38.5's

whats all done to the 6.0??

this is what has been done to 6.0 lifted 6", 37x12.5r20 nitto trail grapplers on 20" rock star xd rims, 5" mbrp exhaust, after market turbo. brand new in box are arp head studs, egr delete kit, sct livewir tuner, dual coil glow plugs. beautiful truck white, tan 2 tone. injectors replace 12k ago. new starter, ignition coil and yeah i was wondering how the 7.3 gets 16mpg im thinking more around 10 -12

Neither truck is going to get 16 with those tires unless right conditions I'd say

Ya.... your not going to be able to run a big lift with big tires and expect good fuel mileage no matter what truck you pick.

alright then i talked to the owner of the f250 7.3 and talked him down to 13750 from 17 and i got the cash and they have the title just trying to make a decision and im worried about gas mileage but not much i only commute 10 minutes to work if you guys were to guess how many mpg do you think id get

The 7.3 has ATS trans parts, that's enough for me to walk away from it.

For the cost difference of the two trucks, you could pay to have that 6.0 bulletproofed and be in a MUCH better truck, better trans, more power etc...

JMO....

Let's put it this way in town I was averaging 14-17 mpg with 35s

I've had two buddies with 6.0's, both crew cab, both short bed, both autos. Both avg'd around 13mpg, with Innovative tuning.
