My understanding is used add 80degs to outside temp for trans temp?

 

That sounds about right. Do you tow at all?

 

This is. A daily driver and I tow 2horse trailer weekly

 

I'd put the trans a touch higher. The thermostat inside the trans doesn't even open until 180*. I would suspect you'd see a touch higher in hot weather towing a trailer, depending on how much weight you're throwing around. Mine probably stays a little cooler with my towing tune since it's never hunting for gears and the converter is locked up most of the time.

 

I use towing tune also, how does 200 sound? Like I said I tow 2 horse trailer with quarter horses so there is some weight there? Thanks!!

About 5000lb or so, no more then 6000.
