Default Yeah, 6.0 hot no start

Well the next problem finally happened. Got something going on with the HPOP. Hot no start condition. I think im going to max out the Cabelas credit card and just build this thing once and for all. ICP, STC, HPOP, oil cooler and screen, Head gaskets and studs, 155 injectors. Anyone got an idea on injector nozzle size? I will be running .093 nitrous nozzle.

edit: oh yeah had p1000 code. some soft code for emissions.

P1000 is just a nonsense code saying you didn't do a complete check, I get it every time I run codes, it's no bid deal, it's not really an issue at all.

155/75%. Don't forget custom tunes.

Don't forget to factor in machine shop costs on the heads. Mine ran about $500 to get worked over.

Your truck isn't starting at all right now? I would REALLY suggest getting it running before adding other variables like bigger injectors etc... When you crank it are you getting any smoke? You know it's the HPOP for a fact? Have you tried logging ICP actual vs ICP desired? Try unplugging the ICP sensor and starting it too.

its just started having these symptoms out of the blue. met a couple friends to go shoot and wouldnt refire. done it 3 more times now all same situation. Operating temp no start. Im assuming its a minor leak because when she fires its strong and also has no issue running at operating temperature. No shutter or anything like that. might have to head over to autozone and borrow that code reader again to monitor ICP. Not going to be much of an issue right now because shes running twice a day 12 hours apart. so no issue with cooling down first. Runs strong no smoke when running. did get a small puff of white smoke the other day right after cranking in 29 degree weather. fuel smell. could be attributed to hot tune. Stock tune no smoke ever

Yeah sounds just like a high pressure oil leak. I'd just do all the common points: standpipes/dummy plugs, STC fitting, new IPR o-ring and screen.

Well everything is done now. Studs, gaskets, decked heads, IPR, ICP, STC, stand pipes dummy plugs new o rings on the back of all the injectors, new gaskets thru out. Sucks but had to have it all done while i was out of town. 4547.35 was the final total w/ labor. I just didnt have the time to do it myself. 12 month/12k mileage warranty. ran out of cash for the 155s. But she is running again and running like a raped ape right now. The Looney Tune has never felt so strong. If anyone wants a list of what all they did for that price just in case you get one of those 9k stealership estimates let me know. Its Nitrous time.

If you don't mind, definitely post the build sheet up just for a reference point for others. Did you have the work done at a Ford garage or some other diesel shop?

Glad your truck is running good again!

Had it done at Rapid Diesel here in Rapid City South Dakota. Will post build sheet tomorrow. I gotta talk to them tomorrow morning cause its not building boost past 19# so i think it has a boost leak and there is a 8 pin connector in the drivers side front fender well that is not connected. It was a cab off install so I kind of expect to have to do a shake down on the thing.

Can you get a picture of the plug that's left disconnected?

figured out the connector. found the one not satisfied. cant figure out the lower boost pressures though. Stupid tech riding along with me wanted to blame the tune or the sct or user or whatever other than the fact that they may not have gotten the damn uppipes on right. at WOT from a stop or 20-30mph roll it only gets about 20 psi. if i roll into it in Overdrive i can hit about 26 before it seems like it starts bleeding pressure. returned to stock updated sct just reloaded tune and checked over most plugs. checking it again tonight.
