Default Rev X and Rotella T6

Changed out the oil and filters, both oil and fuel, today. Motorcraft oil filter and IH fuel filters. This time I went from Rotella T3 to Rotella T6 ($7.00/per Gallon cheaper at Wally World then NAPA).

First time around the block to check for leaks the truck died - figure it was just air in the system because she fired up after a little bit and has stayed running.

Since I have been have very rough running until the truck warms up I came back and added two bottles of Rev X. I may be crazy but the second time around the block the truck seemed like it had more power and quicker response and was running smoother - it may have been because it was warmed up a little. It may also be because I got all of the crap out of the fuel system. Tomorrow morning will be the real test to see if it is still running rough - fingers are crossed.

It's not that surprising actually. Bill from PHP has dyno testing of it and you'd be surprised how much power he picked up from adding Rev-X.

Bill, you should post those graphs over here too!

Anything that needs to be added at every oil change isn't helping the real issue.

It may not put new injectors in your truck, so it doesn't fix the real issue. But for most it does help. There are a lot of snakeoil type products out there, Rev-X is not one of them. I am a huge skeptic and the only reason I tried it was I got in on the free trial, It worked as claimed. For the cost, I would say try the Rev-X before you start throwing money at injectors. I am just shy of 200000mi and have replaced 2 injectors, 1 before Rev-x and 1 after.

Rev-X would most likely show an improvement on the dyno even on a set of 8 new injectors.

I get what you're saying though, and you're right, it's just a band-aid.
