Default EGR

Does disconnecting the EGR valve delay the turbo or have any other effects on a 2003 ford f250 ?

on a 03 alot of times you can get away with an EGR delete without having to use a tuner, as long as the CEL dosnt come on when you unplug it you should be fine.

Unplugging it is ok, probably wont really do anything since it can still be blown open under pressure anyways.

No, it's not even close. There are threads about EGR deletes in this forum, but the long answer is that an EGR delete kit deltes the EGR cooler and the option to delete the EGR valve. I only did the cooler.

Not really. Unplugging it is more or less taking the ability away from the PCM to allow it to operate freely. If the EGR valve is there, it can still be blown open from exhaust gasses entering through the EGR cooler. Remove the cooler, or block it, and gasses can't get there. Just unplugging it wont hurt anything by any means (though on 05+ trucks it usually trips the CEL light), but it wont help as much as some think it does.
