Default just about to order mbrp but i have a question

So I was just about to get in my truck and go get me the mbrp P\N: S6206P. But wondered something... The down pipe is 3.5" correct me if im wrong but same as my stock cat but then the rest of the pipe is 4" where and how does it go from 3.5"-4" ??? And what about the cat delete test pipe is that 4" or 3.5" ?

Here is my concern... I live in California so I have to smog my truck every two years. I just smogged it so I have a while before I have to do it again so mean while I'm gonna run a straight pipe or add the muffler it comes with if my wife complains about it being too loud. I'm just concerned if everything will fit together perfectly ie. Test pipe fits to the exhaust with no modification and when needed I can put the cat back on in less than 20 min.

one more thing. If I bought the straight pipe kit from mbrp would I be able to add my muffler and cat to it when needed? Basically is it like the kit im planning on getting just with a test pipe and a muffler delete already?

Thanks guys

OEM is 3" out of the turbo, 3" resonator, then 3.5" cat/muffler. If I recall correcly, the end of the cat is a bolt in iron flange/hanger, I kept this for the hanger. Anyway, a bolt in mod on your cat would siut your needs for the smog *****. I can't see your wife not liking it, mine AND her daughter love how mine sounds. (3.5" dp/4" straight pipe)

It will be a whistling, screaming I LIKE TURTLES below 11 psi of boost. Ye-YEAH!

Yeah you can just buy a muffler delete pipe and/or a cat delete pipe. DFUSER sells them, last I checked he was a site sponsor, but I can't keep up with who is what.

They all bolt in too, so if you don't like it, unbolt it out and put the stock stuff back in. You'll like it though.

I run a 4inch turbo back to dual 5 inch tips mbrp exhaust that does have a muffler and even with the muffler its loud when i get on it. Ive been wanting to do straightpipes now for a while but the sound is awesome, i dont think you will regret it!
