You mean this? 6.0 PowerStroke bulletins

FWIW, this is NOT the first time I've heard of an SCT picking up codes that other "programmers" were not getting. I've also heard of other programmers reading the codes wrong, so instead of a P0299 it came up with a U0299 or something along those lines. So instead of pointing out a bad FICM or something, the U code meant some chassis thing so it was telling us the truck had a bad window motor or some nonsense... instead of the real issue.
STORY TIME! Not only would it slam shift in to 5th, but it would also slam/hunt for 6th. Well, Mr. SCT found P0730 and P2703 that Edge missed. When I cleared these, ALL of the slam shifting went away and I was left with a lazy 3-5 shift and the R/D clunk.

I took the truck to a local shop when all of this first started, they updated the TCM, PCM, and FICM, it left with the same problem it went in with. This is one of two issues, the shop didn't have the correct programming, or I have bigger issues.

Karl I had a lazy 3-5 shift in mine with a certain someone's tune, I loaded an innovative tune up and it went away, reloaded the old tune from someone else and it seems to be gone, try maybe going back to stock and reprogramming and see what happens. I know it's hard, but try putting like 100 miles on it stock, then re-tune. Might also want to look at the GoGo direct solenoid a little more too, that's going to be one of my next mods.

When I had the 3-5 slip going back to stock from my edge it took like a week of city driving for it to go away. So I'm leaving it alone till I get rid of that edge and get a sct to see if it comes back.

I had the same exact problem on my jaguar which uses a Ford transmission and the same Mercon sp fluid. The problem was a part called a solenoid block. I dont know if these trannys have the same part but definately worth looking into it wasnt hard to replace either

Our transmissions have 7 solenoids, and yes they sometimes stick. The 3-5 shift you can actually buy an upgraded solenoid for, GoGo direct solenoid.

The 3-5 shift issue is ONLY in stock, either one of the program suppliers I have eliminate it. I plan on leaving it stock for a week or two. While it is like stepping on a wet tomato, the lazy shift SEEMS to be clearing up. Not so much with the R or D thunk. But I am placing a call to the local dealers to get my computers check and udated if need be.

MDUB and the rest of the Bombers tried to warn me about Edge, I didn't listen. Now I am stuck with an Edge Juice Platinum that I can't in good conscience sell to another 6.0/TorqShift owner. I LIKE TURTLES sucks being a good guy, sometimes.

Don't feel bad! I got a good friend with a 06 6.0 with an edge platinum and I can't talk him out of it!!!! It sucks knowing that it's going to wreck his truck but I guess the only way to learn is the hard way!!! I'm only using mine as a moniter

Karl, it probably goes away with the tuning because of the increase line pressure and more solid shifts via the tuning. If that's the case I wouldn't even bother going back to stock, just leave your tunes on. Trans will probably be happier that way.
