Cool/cold start issue
ok guys, its been cool the last two nights... 50* the first night- i went and started it about 9 am and it got runnin quick but it was shaking and bucking but stayed running.
40* this mornin... went to start, it cranksed up real quick but shook, bucked, missed, then died...
no codes, ran good yesterday after it warmed up, just had FICM tuned- it was at 48.1v, little bit of white smoke.
its plugged in now, we'll see what it does
Let me know what yall think???

A tuned FICM means he had a performance tune put on it...
Did you test the FICM at all 3 points?
Didn't you just have an issue with this last week? You just had issues with the FICM wiring harness didn't you? I'd be checking the plugs on the back of the FICM. I had one on once that read 48V at all conditions but ran like poo. Turns out one of the plugs wasn't quite clipped in all the way, got it clipped, ran great, still read same voltages.

except last week i was gettin an injector code, it was missing in O/D, and it didnt die out.
im gana mess with the ficm more, and see what happens... i shoulda left it the hell alone, insted of tuning the FICM

***** its been plugged in for 2 hours.... it started up good, runs good, no smoke, smooth. whats wrong???

Definitely still sounds like a FICM man... all of these symptoms point to that.
Have you tried scanning it again? Any codes?
When you plug it in and it heats the coolant, everything gets warmer, and with a weak FICM or weak batteries, the truck will start MUCH easier when it's pre-warmed. It takes a lot of stress off of everything plugging it in.
Batteries are newer right? They've been load tested? I would be real skeptical of the wiring going to the FICM and the connections themselves.
Let's break it down... truck was running A-ok a few weeks ago right? You got a FICM tuned, put it on and have had issues since then. Last week you said you had issues with the wiring for the FICM and leaking fuel lines. Honestly, I don't think the "air" in the lines you described was even an issue (other than the obvious leak, but I don't think it contributed to your issues). You said you played with the wiring for the FICM and fixed the fuel line and it was fine right? Now you're having starting issues again... I would definitely be going over that wire harness with a fine tooth comb.

- Load tested batteries a few months ago
when the FICM returned i had a bad miss and an injector code, so i messed with the wires and tested the ficm... 48.1v was the lowest it got to, and it seemed to be fine. BUT ever since i got it back together it has started a liitle worse each mornin

At this point if you still are having starting issues which clearly started since you got the FICM, I would be on the phone with who you got the FICM tuned at and be asking them about it.
Voltage doesn't always mean everything, and you know this from what I've told you guys, I've got two FICM's on my shelf that prove this, both read a perfect 48V across the board but run like garbage until warm.
Maybe try taking the FICM off, inspect all of the pins, make sure none are bent over or anything odd like that, put a little dielectric grease on the connectors and re-seat the connections again and see if it changes at all.

yea, i remember you sayin that about them being bad even if they are at 48v, but it was fine before i took it off to send it up there... All the pins are good, cause i checked um when i got it back.
I'm waitin on it to cool off before i mess with it, cause i wana simulate a cold start while testing the FICM
