DIY badges
This is for anyone who is tired of looking at "F-250/350, Powerstroke Turbo Diesel" emblems that the paint is starting to fade and chip even. You can have full chrome for free, forget paying $50+ for a set when you can do it yourself with your stockers.
What you will need:
Paper towels
Acetone
Masking tape
Beer
Elbow grease
Rotary tool with cloth cone (optional)
Start out by masking around the badges and tape a paper towel under it to catch any drips. IF YOU DON'T MASK IT, YOU CAN EASILY DAMAGE YOUR PAINT!!!
Apply some acetone to the corner of a folded paper towel and while putting pressure (if you don't hear it squeak a little you aren't pushing hard enough) and rub along the lettering. Note: the wetter the paper towel is with acetone (short of dripping) the easier it will come off
If there is a haze on the emblem after you get all the paint off of it, just do some wipes over it with acetone then a paper towel with water. The "Powerstroke V8" on the doors did not want to come off at all, so out came the Dremel. DO NOT PUT ACETONE ON THE DREMEL!!! Think about what happens with centrifugal force. You can see above the badge just how much the Dremel flings the black paint dust
ALL DONE!!!

Customized Billet Aluminum Badges For Your Ride
Looks good DieselDaddy. I'm gonna go with BB, just cause the all chrome look wouldn't look right on my black truck.
