Default ok i need some misfire assistance please.

just replaced injector 7 only 6 days ago. runs WAY better. BUT....i have a misfire going on. It's the worst when the truck is cold. if i start going down the road when its still kind of cold slightly warm it'll put and chug, and when in top gears around 50 it'll shake the truck almost like an injector is out. but when its warm it runs great. when its warm i can cruise no problems. only thing is when its warm i can feel it misfiring but its a very weak feeling. i just put in 2 bottles of Rev-X today (finally came in the mail). so my questions are....could the rev-x potentially clean this up and fix it? Is it another injector probably going out? or do glow plugs affect the motor to make it misfire? (i'm new to diesel still so that last questions is probably dumb but i'm just unsure ) ALSO...when its sitting idling i can hear it misfire whether its warm or cold. it runs fine then randomly will chug maybe twice then idle fine again for a few seconds then chug again. ANY help would be great. Thank Ya'll in advance

the dealer i just bought my truck from had to change injector number 8 for me before i bought the truck. i could hear the slightest mis fire when it was idling after i took it for a test drive. they found that it was the only injector that was bad the rest checked out a ok. i would see if you have another injector going out. my mack work truck did almost the same thing you are saying right after they changed out a injector and they found another one had gone bad in a 2 week period. then agian it is a mack. good luck.

Rev-X will make it disappear, however it's not a cure for the issue, just a cover up. It works wonders though and is cheaper/easier than swapping injectors out. Give it a try.

How long does it usually take from the rev-x to start kicking in? I put it in last night and probably have done 20 miles so far.

Under a minute usually of just idling in the driveway and I can hear it start working... idle smooths out, truck gets a little quieter... if you've still got issues going on, you may just have an injector that is just junk.

Yea I think its another injector to replace. Definitely horrible when cold. Smoothes out when warm but u can still feel it.

You did get Rev-X oil additive right? Not the fuel additive?

Yeah man, tough to say, but I'd point at an injector. Just out of curiosity what oil and oil filter are you using?
