Bob, have you ever really seen oil and coolant mix cause of the headgaskets? I have not yet, I have seen it from cracked heads though. Oil cooler would be most common though, I'd venture to guess.
Yeah could you get some pictures or something, I'm not sure where it would be coming from back there... only thing I can think of is EGR cooler connections leaking and it's just making it's way over there... or the coolant hose coming off of the heater core on that side.
Are you POSITIVE there is water/coolant mixing? Have you had an oil analysis done?

i have a question my 6.0 is leaking coolant. as soon as i pour it in is is running out on the rear passenger side of the motor and has water in the oil. any thoughts as to whats wrong. sorry ahead of time know nothing bout this motor other than what ive read in blogs and forums
2. Mine was slowly leaking out the passenger side for a few years, when it finally got to leaving more that a puddle over night that I could track it was that I LIKE TURTLES OEM joke of a hose clamp on the EGR cooler (look next to the right side to of the intake, you'll see the little red hose). I installed an EGR cooler delete that I found on eBay for less than a buck fifty and viola, no more leaks. Granted the oil part is a little different.
3. Bob is right, I helped a guy change a head gasket on a 300 six once for "water in the oil" that turned out to be condensation in the dipstick tube.

You need to figure out exactly where it's coming from before throwing parts/money at it. I'd start by getting an oil analysis done to MAKE SURE there is coolant mixed in the oil. You can have this done for under $30.
Oil coolers don't just fail out of no where, it's a prolonged process. My guess is this truck was having issues before the oil cooler ruptured (if that's what actually happened, but right now that's where we're pointing fingers with the limited information given).
Some more info about the day it lost power would help... any codes? Was it even scanned? Any other symptoms? Any smoke coming out?
What happens now when you try to start it?
My guess is the delta between oil temp and coolant temp was out of this world.
