Yea, at times it's hard for me to keep my foot off the smoke pedal, especially when a little Civic pulls up with a Folders exhaust. Usually I just have to give her a little throttle and let the turbo spool up and dump right in their window and they tend to back off.

You gotta be willing to commit to it to get 20+ out of it. I run a max speed of 62 miles per hour. Im running the Looney tune from Quicktricks and getting that kind of mileage. I take off from lights and stop signs like a semi and do my best to keep her under 2k. With all this easy driving though i will still put her thru her paces once or twice a tank to blow everything out. As soon as I get this FICM replaced I want to see what kind of mileage she will get then.

To get that kind of mileage you have to drive it with without cruis control and keep it under or at 70mph. I get better mpg with my foot than with CC, letting off and drifting at offramps, coming to red lights, ect. I have ridden with my brother in law in his king ranch and he couldn't figure out how I was getting better mileage than him, Hell, he was on the skinny pedal right until he HAD to put on the brakes, and I meen like hard, he is a firefighter-go figure, he is too used to driving like he is on a call. He also wears brakes out in 50k where I get a minimum of 100k out of mine. Now I do clean her out every now and then I don't drive like that all the time but when some cocky punk thinks he can whoop me at a traffic light I will put her in 4wd high and smoke him to just past the speed limit/I just like seeing there face as they come up next to me but that is a rare accasion, not every day.

I believe the 4:10's are from the factory. I will be taking her to the local Ford garage and their diesel mechanic, supposed to be the best in the area, will go through her and tell me what if anything needs addressed. I will then get gauges on her asap.

Yeah I get like 15mpg on a good day. However, my mileage doesn't seem to change no matter how fast or slow I drive. I also haven't checked it since my EGR delete, and I'm willing to bet it has increased slightly since then. I also change fuel filters and oil/oil filters probably a lot more than most on here.

I can also tell you what EGT's look like when holding a steady 100mph with 3.73's and 285/70/18 tires, and I will say I am on my 6th set of tires @ 96k miles. (Most of them were used tires though). My truck is my play toy, so at this point who cares about mileage.

Plus I run the vegistroke, so I care even less. I avg' over 100mpg on a gallon of diesel most times. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Mike, correct me if I'm wrong. As far as I know Vegistroke is a Diesel/WVO hybrid system that starts the truck on diesel and then kicks in the WVO once you get moving. Similar to how a Gasoline/Electric system works
