Default Rev X

Getting ready to run from Conn to FL - about 1,300 miles. Have never used Rev X before - 157,000 miles on the 06 6.0 PSD and it will be ready for an oil (Rotella Triple T) & filter change once it reaches FL. Only problem with truck is it won't start on cold mornings unless plugged in and runs rough until warms up - FICM tested ok.

My questions;

1. Is the benefit worth spending the money (approx $65) to put the Rev X in for the trip or just wait until the oil change?

2. If you use Rev X do you use it on every oil change?

Thanks in advance for replies.

If you plan on changing the oil soon then just wait. Though it would make starting and idle time a lot easier, it would suck to throw away the $65 if you're changing oil soon. I would wait until the oil change myself.

I put the rev-x in my 04 and it cleared it right up!!! 15* out this morning and it fired right up without being plugged in!!! I'm a firm believer in rev-x for a fix for the person who doesn't have the money to do it the right way at the time... And yes I'd wait change the oil put 2 4oz bottles in first time, then 1 4oz bottle very oil change after! Like mdub said its only a bandaid but for me it worked until I can fix it right
