Default dreaded inspection

hey guys, im a new guy on here and i had a quick question. I have a 2003 f250 7.3, i recenctly cut the muffler off of the truck and bent a peice of pipe for it to exit right infront of the rear tire, because its got no muffler on it, will i get nailed at NJ state inspection for that? thanks,

shouldnt unless the DB levels are to high.

Check your local regulations for decibel readings, here in CA a turbocharger is considered a "noise muffling device" so you are not required to have anything behind it...except on 6.0/.4/.7L because of the catalytic converters and DPF junk.

and if they do say something about it just find a guy and pay him 20 bucks on top of the cost and they should overlook it
