He's talking about auto ingenuity or how ever its spelled, it plugs into the OBDII and u can buzz test all injectors and run a contribution test I believe on each cylinder and that will tell you what cylinder is missing, (I believe this is accurate, if not someone please correct me)!!

It's gonna be tough finding that injector since they usually disappear when they warm up too.

I wouldn't even worry too much about it, try the Rev-X oil additive first, I bet it goes away.

i talked to the dealer i bought it from and they said injectors 5,6,7 and 8 are all bad. i'm gonna replace them and figure i'll just do all 8 of them and make them all fresh and new. should i go bigger size or keep stock???? my only plans are 5" exhaust, MAYBE a cold air intake, and definitly a programmer. what do ya'll suggest?

I had the exact same issue as you are 1st diesel and it ended up being 2 injectors also. Me and Mdub talked for a while on it possibly being the FICM but I did test them and it was good and the scanner I was ussing said to bad injectors but If you descibing it it acted like ours. It would run ok then you could hear it miss then at the final gear the whole friggin truck would shake. I wish I new about this before x mas I would stop by on my way to arizona and threw on the OBDII my friend has the whole ford programm for it.

No I live in Colorado now But I have friends and Family in arizona, I was born and raised there. If you ever come thru CO with that rig let me know if you come thru where I live I hook up on OBDII to it Having the truck shake on ya is sure one hell of a butt puckerin moment run a thousand ideas of what it could be in three seconds . Also I am a 6.0L Hater my ranch has one, so I have the god givven right to complain about em . But The injectors went bad on my grandfather on the way back from texas with a trailer with horses I had to meet up with him at La veta pass with a tow rop so I could help pull him over the pass. them 1700 bucks and 2 weeks later they replaced One injector when we told them to replace both of em. Only reason why I didnt replace the injectos is my grandfather trying to have ford screw up so he can sue em and get a new truck . So ya I am a lil Bias. I am a ford man, I just couldent find one worth forkin the cash over for.

Also 1st diesel if you have one whole bank bad its generally the FICM screwing with the the computer. Generally. Mdub know alot about the FICM and testing them. So Mdub got any more questions about his FICM its all yours haha, thats your territory.

Replacing the injectors aint to bad its just gaining the motivation to start to tear into the mess of intake tubes and such haha. IT CAN BE DONE!!!!. Just drain the oil in the injectors before you pull an injector. I have a haynes service manuel for the 6.0 under neath my bed so shoot me a pm if you got a question about tearin it down. Also here my question can you buy the actual Shop manuel for trucks??? Ford and dodge sure as hell doesnt want to tell me. Thanks.
