Default 6.0l Injectors

What all is involved in tearing down 6.0l injector and replacing them yourself or do you need some specialized tools.

No special tools. Pull the valve cover, they're all right there. It's a large torx bit holding it down. T40 or T-45 depending on your year. Make sure you get the injectors to your corresponding year truck. 03/04 were different than 05+.

I'd recommend getting them right from Ford, they come with a warranty.

How do you plan to do that? It's not like you can buy a "rebuild" kit... there are over 75 individual pieces inside of a 6.0 injector, have you ever even seen one apart? You can't exactly go buy these pieces either. Take lots of pictures!

Seriously though, just go buy some direct from Ford. They have a 12k mile/12 month warranty.

It's a picture I took from a forum, not my desk, I'm not quite brave enough to pull one apart yet... though I do have a spare out in my garage... hmmmm.

fixorepair, we hear you brother. Some things you're better off just buying and being done with it though. I think a lot of the 7.3 DIY injector kits are being pulled as well, since there were so many people messing them up.
