Default add a leaf that i dont need

In the up coming month when I find some time ill be removing the add a leaf that came on the truck when I bought it. I dont tow so i have no use for it. I have no idea as to what they are worth what brand or anything I know nothing about them all i know is its on the truck and my a$$ end sits higher than I'd like.

Idealy I'd like to trade them for something. doesn't have to be truck related although that's preferred. If no one shows intrest on here I'm just gonna put them up on my local craiglist

Thanks guys

Forgot to mention my truck is a 03 PSD 6.0 long bed crew cab 4X4 automatic if that helps

They come with them factory. Your truck isn't going to sit any lower without it, it's only in use when you have a LOT of weight in the bed. When I hook my bumper pull 21.5' camper up to my truck, I just barely touch the overloads. In fact it usually doesn't touch just sitting there, but as I drive down the road it hits it a little bit. I don't think I'd yank them off... If you really want to lower the back out a bit, remove the block under the leaf spring, or go to an F250 block. The F350 blocks are a little taller than the 250's. Or you could just level the front.

I'm not sure these came stock but I've been wrong before. Reason I have this theory is my close friend who is the mechanic at 4wheel parts here in ca pointed it out when we were discussing the hight of the back end he suggested removing the block in the back but then his words were " oh there's your problem, the guy added an add a leaf" hell he could be wrong too I guess im gonna have to investagate this further cause I sure as hell don't want to remove something that came stock on the truck. thanks mdub. hey mdub btw how do you know so much about these trucks were you a master tech at ford or do u just have years of extensive research ?

Without pics of the rear suspension item in question we are guessing as well. Post up/link to the pics and even us non-Ford tech guys can tell you what's going on out back.

If the leaf in question is on top of the main pack and shorter than the spring under it, its the over load spring. There will be two "numbs" sticking out of the frame it contacts under load. That was the only bad part about my 6" spring lift, had to ditch that spring on each side.

Unless you know how many springs are in the pack, and know how thick said pack is suppose to be at a glance, I seriously doubt someone is going to just point out an add-a-leaf. I've run them, my friends still run them, when they're installed, they blend right in.
