Default F350 6.0 L FICM solder fix

2004 - Cold Starting problem leads me to look deeper at the soldering of the FICM module - is there anywhere specifically that is most common for weaknesses? Should the printed circuit be removed from the casing - or just the solenoid blocks? Thanks again.

Yes there are some specific spots that need attention. They are VERY close together and quite easy to bridge, so unless you've got some high quality solder and a decent amount of experience soldering, I would let someone else do it. Just keep in mind, a lot of places that do fix these, will not touch them if someone has tried soldering on them. You will also need to peel off some of the staking compound (similar to a glue) to gain access to the points that need soldering, and you should also replace what you take off with some sort of similar staking compound. You will need to remove the circuit board from the casing as well since some of the contacts you need to touch up are on the bottom. If you feel comfortable doing this, by all means give it a try!
