Default dealership problems

ok guys i have a serious question! i got a 2003 powerstroke crew cab, lariat, short bed and i only had the truck for two weeks when my brakes went out, so i sent it back, (it also had a check engine light within the first two weeks) so they fixed the brakes and told me that the check engine was because of the injectors. then they call me to say that it will be to expensive! so they might just give me another truck! does this make any sence? wouldnt that cost them more? what should i do? if they do give me another truck it has to be crew cab, leather, and short bed right? i need help!!!!!!!!! i just want my damn truck back!

Is this a reputable dealership? I would tell them to fix it and do it now with no BS on the house. If the don't oblige I would tell them to give me my money back and I will take my business else where.....

If a trade-in was done, that trade-in is so far gone, it probably didn't last over night. Stealerships will do almost ANYTHING to not have to take back a vehicle and give you your money back. They didn't catch it when it came in and now they don't want to have to eat the fix on it. UNless they have a diesel mech, it's getting farmed out.

I'd find something about 3~5K more than what you paid for yours and tell them "This one, or fix that one." FOR THE SAME DEAL!

If you really want to be a pain, DEMAND a rental while your rig is being fixed. Eh, demand one anyway, that's what they get for not doing a thorough pre-sale check on your rig.

My point is that they are trying to get out of paying for this, I would be a horse's rear and not let them get away with it, either pay to fix this rig, or eat it on another one.

I agree with everything said.

My guess is the problems probably aren't as bad as they're making it out to be, but they really have no clue how to fix it and want to just throw parts at it.

Some of these guys can attest... I don't know how many times I've seen someone say they need to replace all 8 injectors, and all it really needs is a good set of batteries and or a FICM fixing...

It sounds like the truck you got was a pretty decent one expect for the supposed problem. I am just wondering if they have someone else that saw it and is offering more money than you thats why they want to swap one for yours? just saying
